Are you ready to experience your next adventure? Jarod's Journeys is bringing you on a once in a lifetime adventure! Join us for an African Safari Adventure in November 2022. 

On this magnificent Kenya trip safari, visit remarkable national parks and wildlife reserves in search of giraffe, cheetah, zebra, leopard, lion, elephant, rhino, gazelle, hyena, Cape buffalo, and more—all in their native environments. Imagine the thrill of seeing these majestic animals as they sunbathe on grassy land and roam across the vast savannah grassland. Experience distinguished service by your professional Tour Director and experienced Driver/Guide.

This is not just a Safari, but its a completely different type of cultural experience. You will spend time in hotels as well as with a Host Family, where you will enjoy life with them, interact with the family, eat their local food and learn about customs. This will truly be a life changing, cultural experience! You will connect with your host family in advance of the trip, so you will know each other well when they pick you up at the airport!

Day #0: arrive in nairobi

Welcome to Africa! Your adventure has begun! You will receive a warm welcome from your host family as they greet you right outside the airport doors!

Head to your Nairobi home stay to settle in and relax before a delicious home cooked dinner

day #1: massai tribal village

​After breakfast with your host family, spend the entire day off the beaten path immersed into a Maasai Tribal Village to experience firsthand their rich and fascinating lives. The Maasai culture is one of the most recognized and famous tribes throughout Africa. Known for their traditional cow dung mud hats, drinking cow's blood, dressing in colorful tribal clothing, high jumping skills, and living amongst their own kind in remote areas; you will find yourself captivated every moment on this enriching experience. 

Return to your homestay for dinner and overnight stay.

day #2: giraffe sanctuary/baby elephant orphanage/local children's orphange

Picture

Wake up to breakfast and visit the renowned Giraffe Center, a local non-profit organization created for the protection of the highly endangered Rothschild Giraffe. An amazing experience offered to learn about the conversation requirements as well as the opportunity to obverse and feed these elegant animals. Following, visit the baby elephant orphanage, known as the David Shldrick Wildlife Trust, a project which rehabilitates these young mammals while educating the public on its conservancy, allowing guests to get close to seee and feel these magnificent creatures. 

​After lunch, spend the late afternoon at a local children's orphanage where you'll have fun engaging with the joyful children. An amazing opportunity to hear some of the children's stories and learning how the orphanage strives to provide these children with good, safe homes. (Proceeds of your trip are contributed to providing well-needed supplies that you' personally gift to the orphanage during your visit).

Day #3: flight to mombasa coast/fort jesus/old town city tour

Have an early morning breakfast and take a quick flight to the beautiful coast of Mombasa. Upon arrival, tour some of Mombasa's celebrated landmarks; Moi Avenue (known for its giant elephant tusk monument) and Fort Jesus (a colonial fort built in the 1500's during the East African slave trade era). Stroll through the streets of the Multi-cultural Old Town of Mombasa while you stop for delicious lunch right on the water. 

​After lunch, explore the vibrancy of the local street markets and its amazing handcrafted goods. 

Return to your beachfront resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Day #4: WASINI ISLAND SAILING & SNORKELING EXCURSION/SHIMONI SLAVE CAVE TOUR

Start this exciting day with an early breakfast and then depart for Wasini Island. Set sail on a traditional dhow boat coasting the Indian Ocean in search for dolphins. Jump into the warm, pristine waters and snorkel Kisite Marine National Park spotting endless amounts of colorful marine wildlife and coral reefs. Relax and indulge In a tropical seafood lunch served right on the beach. Continue on with a fascinating historical tour around Wasini's Fishing Village and the Shimoni Slave Caves learning its rich and ancient history. 

Return to your beachfront resort for diner and overnight stay.

Day #5: relaxing day at your beachfront resort

Day #6: indigenous mijikenda village in the sacred kaya forest

After a delightful breakfast, take off to discover the Indigenous Mijikenda Tribe who live within the Sacred Mijikenda Kaya Forest. Experience thee cherished culture of the Mijikenda and learn about their unique customs of natural remedies, agriculture, traditional ceremonies, familial heritage, holy blessings, and much more. A rare and enchanting full day experience that will leave you speechless.

Day #7: wildlife safari in amboseli national park

Greet the morning with a satisfying breakfast. Depart Mombasa by train en route to Amboseli National Park. Your private safari guide will pick you up from the train station and take youo to your luxury safari lodge just in time for lunch. 

Then set out for an afternoon game drive with the remarkable backdrop of the largest, snow capped mountain in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro. Encounter a diverse and vast array of wildlife including elephants, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and much more. 

Return after sunset to your luxury lodge for dinner and overnight relaxing.

Days #9: wildlife viewing at lake naivasha

After a delicious breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha, Along the drive, stop and savor the majestic geographic formation of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive just in time for lunch, then set out for a peaceful canoe boat ride along the Crescent Island famous for its natural bird viewing, hippo siting, and surreal scenery. 

​After sunset, have dinner and overnight stay at your luxury safari lodge.

day #10: wildlife safari in lake nakuru national park

After breakfast, spend all day game driving in Lake Nakuru National Park capturing the elegance of its shimmering lake, home to thousands of flamingos, hundreds of different species of bird, rare and elusive white and black rhinos, grand baboons, and a large variety of carnivores and herbivores. 

After sunset, head to your luxury safari lodge for dinner and a goodnight's rest.

day #11: wildlife safari inn masaai mara national reserve

After breakfast, leave for Masai mara, the jewel of Kenya's Game Parks. 

An area of preserved savannah wilderness inn southwestern Kenya, Masai Mara is situated along the Tanzanian border. The landscape is serene with grassy plains and rolling hills, crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages home to the Maasai tribe. 

Head out for an afternoon game drive experiencing the exhilarating offerings of the National Reserve searching for the magnificent and notable Big 5 and may other exotic animals.

day #12: wildlife safari in masai mara national reserve
