jarod and chris are getting married!
We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you!
As many of you know, Chris moved to the Seattle area about a year ago from the east coast, and since his family is overseas, they will not be attending this ceremony. In China it’s traditional for each side of the wedding party to host their own celebration—we’ll be doing something in China later on. This event is primarily for Jarod’s side of the family and friends, but we are thrilled for you to meet and get to know Chris! We’d also love for you to know a bit about him in advance, in case you haven’t had the chance to meet before the wedding. Chris grew up in Guangzhou, China, where he went to college before beginning his career at Alibaba and later at Procter & Gamble. He then decided to pursue his Master’s in Business and moved to Connecticut to attend Yale University. After graduation, he joined TikTok and relocated to Bellevue, WA.
We’re both fairly casual people, and our wedding will reflect that—no need for formal attire. Business casual or comfortable dress is perfect. The ceremony will take place inside the W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory greenhouse, so please keep in mind that if it’s warm outside, it may be warm inside too. We’ll have bottled water on hand, and we’re hoping for a cooler day!
After the ceremony, we’ll share a champagne toast and spend a little time mingling in the greenhouse or by the garden gazebo before heading to the dinner venue.

- Ceremony Time: 5:30 PM (please arrive between 5:15–5:20 PM; we won’t be able to open the doors until just before the ceremony begins)
